Image Options

Previous pageReturn to chapter overviewNext page

AFP Printer offers an Image Options dialog to indicate how the AFP Printer should process images and graphics before generating the output.

When you print from some Windows applications to the AFP printer, they do not send halftone data directly to the printer, and the options you select for Color Options, Graphics Options, Grayscale Method, Compression Method, Intensity, and Contrast determine how your images and graphics are printed.

You may need to experiment with these options to get the best results.

To show this dialog, you can run the following command in Start->Run,

rundll32.exe printui.dll, PrintUIEntry /e /n "AFP Printer"

Or you can go to your Control Panel->Printers and Devices (only on Windows 11/10/8.1/8/Vista/2008/2012/2016/2019/2022) or Control Panel->Printers and Faxes (only on Windows 2000/XP/2003), and right-click on the "AFP Printer", and then choose "Printing Preferences".

In the Printing Preferences dialog, you see an option "Image Options..." and a button "Properties..." immediately on the right of the option,

Click this button, and you will get the Image Options dialog,
