AFP to PDF Conversion

This tutorial is intended to demonstrate how to convert AFP documents to PDF files with the help of PDF Server.

NOTE: AFP file can be AFP document, AFP overlay, AFP medium overlay, or AFP page segments.
 

1. Start the AFP Server Configuration Tool on your server

2. Open an AFP document

3. In the drop-down list of "Preset Programs", choose "Convert", and click "Configure..." button

4. A configuration dialog pops up, and you need to specify the target folder for the PDF files to be created

5. Click "OK" button to confirm and close the pop-up dialog.

6. Click "Apply" button to apply your changes.

7. Specify the AFP output folder for AFP files, and close the AFP Server Configuration Tool

8. Congratulations! You have completed the host setup process on your server as guided.

9. Now you can print any type of document, such as Microsoft Word document, to the "AFP Printer", and in the AFP output folder  you get the AFP documents, and in the target folder for the PDF files you get PDF documents as the conversion results.

1. Start your AFP Workbench Viewer software

2. Open an AFP document

3. Select from main menu "File"->"Print"

4. Select Printer "AcroPDF"  (If you don't have AcroPDF printer, you can get it from AcroPDF.com)

5. If you need to adjust PDF generation options, click the "Property" button on the right

6. Click "OK"

7. A dialog will pop up, specify the location and file name of the PDF document to be generated

8. Congratulations! You have converted AFP to PDF document now.

1. Download, install, and start AFP to PDF Converter software

2. Add one or more AFP documents

3. Specify the output folder

4. Click Convert button to begin your AFP to PDF conversion in batch
